The area around Sephora in Soho was a madhouse on Fashion’s Night Out, and all for one woman: Gwen Stefani. She was there to debut Wicked Style, the new Harajuku Lovers fragrance collection. Only 100 fans were allowed inside Sephora to have Gwen sign their bottles, but that didn’t stop hundreds more from milling around the store entrance. Clad in a dress from her Spring 2011 L.A.M.B. collection, Gwen made it to the front of Sephora a little past 10 p.m. Outside, people began scaling the walls for a peek, so G and her Harajuku Girls dancers stepped into the window for a quick hello. Gwen was tweeting away throughout the evening, and yes, she handles the No Doubt account herself. (“Who else would do it?” she asked.) More from Gwen soon, but for now, check out these pictures from the event.
Composition of Tresor In Love: bergamot, pink pepper, sour pear, nectarine Turkish rose, jasmine, peach, violet musk, cedar
Gentle, sour notes felt throughout the whole composition and airy notes which allow this fragrant love to breathe, played an important role in this edition. This freshness is the key to success of Tresor In Love and separates it from other compositions of the present. Just like love that suddenly seduces our senses, this lady-like fragrant theme wins us over in a moment and makes us love it stronger and stronger.
As for the new bottle, I am glad that it retains beauty the classic edition. Modern and elongated glass silhouette with pink liquid, in a modern, appropriate and stylish way displays the new generation of Tresor. Little, black rose of satin on the neck of the bottle makes this edition particularly beautiful and charming while diamond-shaped stopper indicates the tradition of the house. I like how the bottle lies in hand and looks very elegant and lady-like. Simple and refined.
Assortment of Tresor in Love encompasses 30, 50 and 75ml EDP, as well as perfumed body care products. Woman in love who loves with her whole heart, uncompromisingly, committed and purely, is well described with the composition. Advertising campaign also carries and important message.
Change of generations and birth of new loves is perfectly represented by selecting face of the fragrance – Elletra Wiedemann. Elletra is daughter to famous Isabella Rossellini, who was face of Tresor in 1990.
The new fragrance by Jil Sander was created by famous perfumer Olivier Polge of IFF. Sensual Jil opens with juicy blackberry which offers seductive fruity overture to orange blossom in a heart of this composition. Seductive base creates a union of vanilla and patchouli, with hypnotic seductive and sensual effect.
The flacon has the same shape as Jil, with accentuated simplicity and sophistication. Shiny glass frame surrounds and creates contrast to dark blue interior of the flacon, while creating a mysterious game of night and glitter. Logo of the house and name of the fragrance are inscribed in pink on smooth glass. The fragrance can be purchased as 30 and 50ml EDT. This mysterious, seductive and sensual fragrance hides its mystery behind dark blue glass. Its composition expands fragrant views of modern Jil, enhanced with precious and rich aromas describing cheerful and sensual femininity.
Advertising face in the campaign for this fragrance is – Julia Restoin Roitfeld. Aim of the campaign is to present an ultra feminine and sensual woman who is moderate and natural.

Parlez-Moi d’Amour is build on Galliano’s principles of emphasized extravagance and femininity, with the ambition to create a modern musky scent that will represent a remarkable contrast to the classical chypre perfume structures and norms. The traditional component of chypre perfumes, the oak moss, has been replaced by the cypress absolute, concentrated in ambery dry-down notes. Its sharp woody accents blended with musk offer contemporary and very modern base notes.
Top notes: bergamot, blueberry, ginger Heart: rose, jasmine Base: cypress, patchouli, musk
This composition full of contrasts opens with fresh overdose of bright ginger, blueberries and bergamot. The perfume heart represents a true ode to love, made from the most seductive floral pair – Sambac jasmine and Turkish rose, while the mysterious and woody base features cypress, Indonesian patchouli and musk notes. The perfumer Alienor Messenet from IFF managed to deliver a glamorous and rebellious youthful fragrance that tells a story of love. Parlez-Moi d’Amour is a fruity, sweet, spicy, romantic and edgy at the same time.
The face of the campaign and the new Galliano muse is Taylor Momsen, the star of the famous teen drama Gossip Girl and the singer of the The Pretty Reckless rock band. This young “rebel” inspired the designer, who considers himself to be a romantic and a narrator, to create a new story along with the fragrance. The story tells of a young rock star who, after many gigs and concerts, finds herself lost in Berlin. Internet and other conveniences of modern age are not available, and she is forced to express her feelings on a piece of paper, writing a letter to a guy she just fell in love with.
“Taylor really embodies the spirit and soul of this new eau de toilette, which is aimed at a slightly younger market [than the signature John Galliano scent],” said Galliano. “But you know, as with all true loves, age is not an issue.”
Right after the first release, Yves Saint Laurent launched Parisienne eau de toilette which arrived in shops in June 2010. Its notes are created by perfumers Sophie Labbe and Sophia Grojsman, and face of the new edition is Kate Moss. Composition offers a timeless and feminine character, lined of vanilla notes characteristic for the first edition and is combined with aldehydes, rose, lily of the valley, violet leaves, musk, iris and suede.
The fragrance is available in a flacon shaped like Parisienne EDP, while colours on the flacon are iridescent in dark purple and pale violet nuances. Its stopper is decorated with black leather which contributes to mystery of extreme Paris and extreme ingredients of the new edition for 2010.
New Ferragamo fragrance has been created by Jean-Pierre Bethouart and Annick Menardo of Firmenich. The packaging, designed by renowned designer Sylvie de France, has been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). Available as 30ml, 50ml and 100ml Eau de Toilette.
NEW YORK — Lady Gaga, perhaps the most sought after and compelling name in show business these days, has signed a long-term licensing deal with Coty Inc. to create fragrances under her name. Stephen Mormoris, senior vice president of global marketing in the Coty Beauty division, told WWD exclusively the agreement was hammered out last week and the first Lady Gaga women’s scent is expected to be launched in spring 2012. Mormoris sees the significance of the Lady Gaga deal in cultural terms with her appeal and huge following embodying all age groups worldwide. Describing her as a “phenomenon,” Mormoris clearly sees the singer as “a fascinating cultural force” who is capable of electrifying the market.
Further details of the deal and the fragrance were unavailable at press time.
Aussie makeup maven Sue Devitt is making her foray into the fragrance industry with a limited-edition scent exclusive to Barneys New York. Devitt’s inspiration for Golden Temple Effusion Eau de Toilette was “early-morning mist rising from Thailand’s bamboo forests.” The perfume complements her new Golden Triangle cosmetic collection. The juice boasts notes of deep rainforest woods, exotic lily and wild red berries and is meant to be worn on the pulse points “to encourage the flow of chi, or life force,” a method Devitt developed with an Asian healing ritualist.
“Gently spritz the effusion onto wrists and take the index finger of both hands to gently press the fragrance into pulse points. Then apply fingertips to temples for a few seconds, breathing in deeply with eyes closed. These brief moments promote a great sense of balance, self and wellness,” said Devitt.
A percentage of the proceeds from the fragrance sales will support Blue Planet Network, a foundation dedicated to eliminating the safe water crisis in rural communities of developing nations.
Moto of Ed Hardy Born Wild For Women is “Let this daring fragrance take you on an adventure as impossible to resist as the woman wearing it.“ The feminine version is created by perfumer Calice Becker who wanted to depict a tropical island, warm sunset, long beaches and tasty cocktails. The perfume opens with refreshing fruity aromas of blackberry and black currant buds. A heart develops into intoxicating accords of magnolia and peach blossom. Notes of base continue the story with flowers and wood – lily of the valley and sandalwood and finally only attractive scent of musk lingers on the skin. Flacon of the new edition of Born Wild for Women is coloured in gentle pink, but a painting/tattoo on its front side reveals its true nature – that of a lady pirate. The flacon also features a pirate-style seal and signature of Ed Hardy. The fragrance arrives as 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum accompanied by shimmering body lotion and bath and shower gel.
Ed Hardy Born Wild For Men is a rebellious, daring and adventurous fragrance created by perfumer Olivier Gillotin. Its opening notes are very surprising and incorporate cara cara orange, spicy cardamom, ambrette seed and apple. Strong middle notes carry the scent of jasmine, neroli, ozone and pink peppercorn. Drydown is built around California Palo Verde and sandalwood. Palo Vedre is a dark and mysterious tree growing in California and its thorns and blue-green branches served as inspiration to the perfumer to add exclusive, precious aromas to the fragrance. The masculine version of Born Wild is poured in grayish-black glass flacon ‘tattoed’ with colourful pattern, skull and inscription ‘Death or Glory’. The fragrance is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette, as well as hair and body wash and alcohol free deodorant.
